A New Dawn Rising

For the past two years, we have been coaching the U7 Griffins and assisting with a friend's U13 team. This season, we are happy to announce that we will be coaching teams in three different age divisions: U7, U9, and U13. The Griffins franchise is expanding, and we aim to keep our tradition of "winning through enjoyment" rolling right along! Our current record stands at 27 wins, 2 losses, and 1 tie. But those are just statistics. The true measure of our success has been the positive personal and skill development of our players! We are committed to helping all our players thrive on the field, in the classroom, and in their community. We rely on the assistance of volunteers from Prattville Junior High School's Beta Club honor society, who help us to run practices, keep stats, organize postseason parties, and other aspects of managing the team. This season, we are happy to welcome Liz Joyce (U7) and Amy Salem (U9) as our team mothers.

We look forward to another successful season and thank you for sharing your young athletes with us. Please join us in encouraging them and the team. We have an official logo, a team song, and other trappings that we think set us apart from the other teams in our league. More than these trappings, however, the fervor of our players, coaches, assistants, and parents have made us the juggernaut we are! Welcome to the Griffins family!

End of the Season

Hard to believe the season is over! But, what a season it was! Another undefeated record for our team, finishing 7-0. You are amazing! Thank you to the players, parents, Beta Club volunteers, siblings, and everyone else who helped make this a season to remember. Thank you also to my assistant coach, Yaser Alzatari! His knowledge, skills, and advice make our coaching team far better than it would ever be without him! I am so proud of you all!

Doubleheader Day!

The mighty Griffins were slow to awaken from their morning slumber, but once they did, they turned on the power and never looked back. They completely dominated the second half of the first game, scoring all their points therein and emerging with a 5-0 victory. Solid defense on both sides of the field, with standout play in the goal.

The second game was never in question. The Griffins dominated throughout, and in the second half, they swarmed on offense, leaving our goalie to handle the defense singlehandedly. The opposition was unable to make a single shot on goal. The 6-0 victory was sweet, but watching the kids enjoy themselves was even more so.

Game in the Rain

Great job, Griffins! In a steady downpour, the team pulled off a 5-0 victory against a very belligerent opposition. Our players maintained their cool, dug in deep, and doled out some serious soccer! Couldn't be prouder of them.

Game One

The kids played their hearts out today! I and Coach Yaser knew we had a strong team, but even we were not expecting a 13-1 score. So proud of everyone! They passed the ball well. They kept on the attack. They followed missed shots on goal. We couldn't ask anything more of them. We just hope they didn't raise the bar too high for the rest of the season! Thank you to all the parents for their kind words and wonderful support. You are why the kids put forth their best efforts. Have a great rest of the weekend!
